Awarded the title of Man of the Match in his debut game for Wales, his international career was impressive from the outset. From 2008 he spent four years as a top choice flanker and number eight, gaining a total of 23 caps for the country, and he was selected for the British and Irish Lions 2009 South Africa tour.
